The inspiration for the sculptures came, came because I realized that the cats look for protection inside the cars, especially when they are moving on the streets looking for food. The cats are under and around the cars. They also love to sit on the seats of the motorcycles, parked on the streets of Athens. I was feeding the cats and collecting the cat food packages since November until May. With these empty packages I cover the toy cars and the motorcycle. When I was living in Athens for this project I realized that recycling culture is not very common in Athens; everywhere when you buy some little thing you get a lot of plastic bags, plastic cups, plastic and aluminum tubs…I think in my experience Switzerland has a better recycling culture.
